Totara Forest Walk

Walk amongst Broadleaf, Totara and many other of our special local native plants, in the Lauder Basin Conservation Area on the Dunstan Mountains.

Kate Wardle, Botanist/Ecologist, in partnership with the Haehaeata Natural Heritage Trust and the Clyde Railhead Community Econursery, will share these locally adapted plant communities with us

This trip will involve carpooling from Korimako Corner to near Cambrians, then a 2 kilometer walk to a conservation area.  Once there you will  explore a wooded gully.

Expect to walk about 6 kms, so this trip is for fit walkers.   Wear appropriate clothing and footware, bring sun and weather protection.   Bring water and your lunch.
