Revegetating Central Otago’s woodland for our native birds.

Practical workshop and hands on demonstrations to revegetate Central Otago’s woodland.

Workshop provided by volunteers for the Clyde Railhead Community Eco-Nursery who will feature locally sourced native plant species including kowhai, kanuka, coprosma, olearia, native broom. Learn about the materials needed and the processes for; seed collecting, growing seedlings, pricking out to larger pots. 

Participate in a demonstration of dryland planting techniques. View and discuss a revegetation project and how to maintain it. This is a chance to compare notes. Stroll through a garden filled with the songs of tui and bellbirds.  Suitable for beginners or those starting native revegetation in their own gardens or in community projects.

All participants will get a native plant to take home. Plants will also be available for purchase; some for $6 and some for a donation. (The donation to fund Good NatureTraps)
